currently, we are waiting for a bid to come back to put in a central airconditioning system for the lower unit of the house, and then a separate bid to do some wonky thing that includes putting in forced air heat and central air conditioning for the second floor. i'm expecting that it will be slightly less expensive than the taj mahal, but only slightly.

i think i'd like to be done with house maintenance stuff for a while. it's very tiring making appointments to have people come tromp around the house and then they want to talk to me, and then there's the phone tag afterwards... eeew. no good.
