sometimes king just totally gets it right.

this is one of those times.

i'd put off buying this book for a long while after it came out, and only recently bought it when it was on the six dollar rack at barnes and noble.

i don't like sports, and i'm particularly annoyed with baseball at the moment (thank you, minnesota twins), but.... wow.

if you've been discouraged and putting off buying king's books because some of the recent ones have been so much not up to his best work, go buy this one. it's not up to the standard of it or the stand, but my goodness does it suck way less than the tommyknockers or even delores claiborne.
