Near-Earth Asteroid 3753 Cruithne --Earth's curious companion--

it doesn't orbit the earth, but instead, shares our orbit, spiralling around in a kidney bean shape, flirting with the earth and then edging away at an angle.

it's name is pronounced "croo-een-ya", emphasis on the "een".

this is just what i needed today.
