christmas celebrations went very well. no family bickering at all. no nephews, however. they are sick, and as such stayed home.

at my parents' house, we had lasagna for dinner, and then opened presents. pirate got a fluffy green bed and some rawhide treats. i got a bunch of stuff which i will tell you about later.

at nathan's parents' house, we had chicken which wasn't perhaps as done as it might have been, and pirate got to play with mr. aaron pupland, who is an eight year old yorkie. there was much tearing around the house and a little vomiting, as well. oh, small dogs. we also had a quite reasonable political discussion, which surprised the heck out of me. but it was good.
