if you saw or heard about the story on the bbc about hiv+ children in foster care used to test aids drugs without the consent of their parents, and are concerned, please go read what rivka, at Respectful of Otters has to go say about it.
rivka works with hiv+ people on a daily basis, and does research involving human subjects herself, and is quite knowledgeable in both of those areas. i trust her to know what she's talking about.

Betsy -- did it ever occur to you that Rivka just accepts what the medical establishment and big pharma say about AIDS, and hasn't really investigated?
There are plenty of AIDS "deniers" out there, who don't believe there is good evidence HIV causes AIDS. Many of them are scientists.
Because Rivka obviously (go read her post again) just accepts the AIDS story -- has swallowed it hook, line and sinker -- she is no objective voice. None at all. Keep that in mind instead of just "trusting" her.
rivka, as i may have forgotten to mention here, works with hiv patients in the inner city, around issues of their treatment regimen. additionally, she has many years of education and training in hiv/aids.
