i am certain that there is a way to get all the water out of an airconditioner before you take it out of the window and put it away for the year.
however, as my wet wet leg will attest, i have no idea what that way is. anyone know?

The only way I've found is to c-a-r-e-f-u-l-l-y tip it backwards in the window-still before hauling it out. The other thing to try is to make sure your drip-thingy is clear, as that'll ultimately reduce the total square inches of wet-leg.
Well, we discovered this afternoon (before checking back here and finding corwin's suggestion) that Chip doesn't know what that way is either. ::uncertain whether sigh or giggle is reaction least likely to get me swatted::
Next year, I'll check your blog before we pull the ac's, and maybe you'll have figured it out first and posted the solution for the good of humanity, or at least for me not getting swatted.
