okay. you remember how bad things come in threes?

you remember how i've had two root canals on the same darned tooth so far?

yes! i get to have another one!

arrrrgh.

i am off to the dentist to get my permanent crown today, and also to get my teeth cleaned. i am only moderately excited about this.

at work today, and having a moderately twitchy day. long term concentration is not currently my strong point.

ah, well. all i have to do is sit here and work (on about three things at a time, in thirty second shifts) for another fifty seven minutes, and then i get to go home.

right now is one of the times of the year when everything smells like woodsmoke all of the time, at least to me, anyhow.

i hope that this stops soon. it's distressing when it happens when i'm indoors because then i think that things are on fire.

i am getting old.

this makes the second major concert that i have bought tickets for that i am going to end up not going to because i am too tired. ah, well.

the party last night was faboo. sadly, i don't believe we took any pictures during it.

pirate behaved herself admirably, and there were various groups of people upstairs paying attention to her during the party.

we got just about the right amount of food. we didn't put the mini-corndogs out, but that's actually good, because i got to eat them this morning when i woke up and was ravenous ravenous ravenous.

someday i would like to live on a planet where bad things did not come in threes.

as a note, i would like it if they came in groups smaller than that. bad things coming in sevens would not be an improvement.

i had quite a fine birthday on friday. i got up early, and went to go have breakfast with sig and jennifer, and then came home and hung out with sig, and got birthday presents from her, and then drove to icon (aaaagh, five and a half hours in the car...) and then helped with the supercon party, and then slept, and i hung out with laura lots, and had a good brunch on sunday, and then we drove home (a much shorter way; only four hours) and now i am home home home again! yay.

i got offered another ribbon/flag dealie at work today. i turned it down, and then got (jokingly, i hope) asked if i was part of the taliban or something.

feh.

whenever i do not have the blog window up and am trying to type things, i can think of simply pages of things to write here. but when i bring the window up, boom! there go the thoughts.

i had meatloaf today for lunch. not really worth writing oodles about, but it made me happy.

we have been cleaning the house, because we are about to have company descend upon us for a while. my friend davey from boston will be staying here the rest of the week, then on sunday, heidi and matt will be here for a week, and then nancy will stay with us for a few days after icon before she goes back to portland.

then, no more people over for a long long time. that's what i think.

and i think that i am not going to australia. which will be weird, but okay.

still sick. i went to work this morning, but decided that i had been overly optimistic and went home again at noon. yucko.
