i really like my gp. i really like the clinic i usually go to.

however, on or from the home page for the healtheast care system, which my clinic belongs to, i can find information about healtheast's bariatric surgery programs, how they've newly expanded them, the four different types of stomach stapling they offer (Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (open surgery), Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (laparoscopic surgery), Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding (Lap Band), and Biliopancreatic Diversion with Duodenal Switch, just so google will hit this).

yet, after fifteen minutes of looking, i cannot find out if anywhere in the healtheast system is offering flu shots this year.

my friend debbie says that this is easy to understand once you think about how much money they make off of a flu shot, versus how much money they make off of stomach stapling, the hernia surgeries after, the vitamin shots, and the plastic surgery (which insurance won't cover).

assholes.

oooh!

my friend lisa was smrt and brought her digital camera to san diego last weekend, so her pictures are online already. mine are still on film and stuck in my bag and needing to be developed. yar!

however, she has a fabulous picture of the two of us.

ladies, gentlemen, and all the rest of you, may i present lisa and betsy, in san diego. i'm the gorgeous blonde, she's the gorgeous brunette.

okay, i really like the fact that the total of money that quicken thinks i have and the total of money that the bank thinks i have can be two hundred dollars apart and it is causing some swearing on my part, but no panic. i like the bit where i am not hyperventilating now.

on the other hand, miserable two hundred dollars! where are you? what is hiding from me? arrrgh!

he appears to live in moscow oblast, still; i am tempted to send him a thank you note.

i was not quite eleven years old.

Your Birthdate: October 12

Being born on the 12th day of the month (3 energy) is likely to add a good bit of vitality to your life.
The energy of 3 allows you bounce back rapidly from setbacks, physical or mental.
There is a restlessness in your nature, but you seem to be able to portray an easygoing, sometimes "couldn't care less" attitude.

You have a natural ability to express yourself in public, and you always make a very good impression.
Good with words, you excel in writing, speaking, and possibly singing.
You are energetic and always a good conversationalist.

You have a keen imagination, but you tend to scatter your energies and become involved with too may superficial matters.
Your mind is practical and rational despite this tendency to jump about.
You are affectionate and loving - but very sensitive.
You are subject to rapid ups and downs.

i love subways. sadly, i also love living in a metro area that doesn't have one. however, there are pictures on the internet of the subway systems of other areas.

here's pictures of the new york city lines, and the artwork therein.

check out the world trade center stop, the union square stop, and the 5th avenue stop. so far, those are my favorites.

this week i was in toronto for training, and this weekend has been full of helping my friends heidi and matt pack and get ready to move to washington state. i'm sad that they're moving, but it's nice to spend all this time with them this weekend, inhaling chemical fumes and listening to people drop furniture down the stairway.

i am certain that there is a way to get all the water out of an airconditioner before you take it out of the window and put it away for the year.

however, as my wet wet leg will attest, i have no idea what that way is. anyone know?

okay, i realize it's 130am and i'm punchy, but i do have the cutest dogs ever.

i'm in the office/guest room, and josie is curled up on a pillow at the head of the bed, with her butt against the wall with her patented "when will you stop beating me?" look. and pirate just finished digging at the sheet on the bed to arrange it just so so that she can go to sleep.

awwww.
