i really like my gp. i really like the clinic i usually go to.
however, on or from the home page for the healtheast care system, which my clinic belongs to, i can find information about healtheast's bariatric surgery programs, how they've newly expanded them, the four different types of stomach stapling they offer (Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (open surgery), Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (laparoscopic surgery), Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding (Lap Band), and Biliopancreatic Diversion with Duodenal Switch, just so google will hit this).
yet, after fifteen minutes of looking, i cannot find out if anywhere in the healtheast system is offering flu shots this year.
my friend debbie says that this is easy to understand once you think about how much money they make off of a flu shot, versus how much money they make off of stomach stapling, the hernia surgeries after, the vitamin shots, and the plastic surgery (which insurance won't cover).
assholes.
